Lately, historical films seem to be the best, like “300″, “Braveheart”, and “Factory Girl”. They’re not especially accurate, but they’re beautifully done.
I prefer romantic comedies but they are unrealistic, I agree. Although I do like the Bridget Jones movies.
I never watch horror films so I can’t tell you if they are most convincing or not.
I HATE cop movies and prefer Westerns. I see cop movies as more violent than Westerns.
It’s not the genre that makes the difference. It is the movie that has the best script and a director who respects writers and stays with the screenplay.
